🐔 Chicken Nest

I would add a new item called Chicken Nest. Chickens would naturally lay their eggs inside the nest instead of dropping them randomly on the ground.

The nest could hold up to 16 eggs, and the eggs would not despawn while stored inside. This would make egg collection much cleaner, more realistic, and easier for players without being overpowered.

It could also work with a Hopper placed underneath, allowing automatic egg collection for farms.
