I think that Minecraft would be more realistic with seasons, because this option would make a feeling that you are in real world. There is also a benefit because it would be a good combo with shaders. But for some people are seasons bad because they could ruin their builds. But Mojang could make a command that stops seasons and a command to set seasons (for example: /season fall), so that would solve this problem. There is a also one bad thing about adding seasons is that new biome that will Mojang add will be "lamefietd" by seasons, because it would must turn the orange leaves to green leaves. But I have got a solution for this. In spring would a block of leaves look a little bit green and orange. In summer leaves would be really small green and orange and red.In fall leaves would be in normal stage (original look). Because I'm definitely not a expert for coding I will leave how would seasons work to developers of Minecraft
