A Tortoise

A new passive mob!

Like a turtle, but on land.

Spawns in jungles and can be tamed with leaves.

Once tamed, it can be ridden.

When attacked, it retreats into its shell.

They lay eggs, and sometimes without breeding.

That's it :)

Extra Edit: if you are monstrous enough to attack a tortoise, it will shed a tortoise scute. if you get enough of them, you can craft a tortoise helmet, wearing this gives you the poison resistance effect, which prevents the effects of poison.

    Official Trivia:

    Once tamed, you can decorate a tortoise with moss.

    There are two advancements for riding on a tortoise. One: The achievement "Slowpoke" for travelling the distance of 20 blocks and Two: The goal for defeating a mob whilst riding a tortoise: "The tortoise won the race!"

    Like the adult tortoise, the baby tortoise is like a baby turtle only on land.

    When the tortoise is tamed, you can attach fireworks to it then ride it then press space then FLY!!!
