I propose a rare deep cave biome below Y=0 called "Forgotten Depths." It features an ancient civilization of Troglodytes—neutral dark-dwelling villagers who trade via a barter system for unique resources and a Potion of Luck. Their caves have a 10% chance to generate wall petroglyphs explaining monster behaviors and secret crafts.
The biome includes 8 unique prehistoric creatures:
1. Depth Breaker (90 hearts): A mini-boss with a roar that causes nausea and a stomp that destroys soft blocks like dirt or gravel.
2. Spiker (20 hearts): A neutral mob that digs dirt with its tail and poisons attackers with its spiky back.
3. Rock Runner (8 hearts): A hostile predator that leaps 30 blocks high but panics and runs away at super speed upon taking its first hit.
4. Echo-Dactyl (3 hearts): A fast flying pack mob attacking like a phantom.
5. Cubenipede (30 hearts): Stalks in the dark, climbs walls/ceilings, and pounces from above.
6. Deep Leviathan (30 hearts): An aggressive whale destroying boats.
7. Water-Gulp (15 hearts): A peaceful water filterer that slaps with flippers only if hooked by a fishing rod.
Players can find fossilized eggs in nests and hatch them using campfires or magma blocks. Tamed Rock Runners become high-jumping mounts, and Spikers act as living bulldozers for mining. The update adds the "Echo of the Ages" advancement: take damage from all 8 new creatures within 1 minute while under the Luck effect.
