Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Weeping Willow

Add the Weeping Willow (Salix babylonica) to Minecraft

The Weeping Willow (Salix babylonica) would be a perfect addition to Minecraft. Its long hanging branches would make rivers, lakes, swamps, and wetlands feel much more natural and beautiful. No existing tree has this iconic shape.

It should generate naturally near water and include a complete wood set:

  • Weeping Willow Log

  • Stripped Log & Wood

  • Planks

  • Stairs

  • Slabs

  • Fence & Fence Gate

  • Door & Trapdoor

  • Button & Pressure Plate

  • Sign & Hanging Sign

  • Boat & Chest Boat

The bark could have a dark olive-brown texture, while the planks would be a warm pale golden color, creating a unique building palette between Oak and Birch.

Its canopy should feature long hanging leaves that nearly touch the ground, making it perfect for gardens, parks, fantasy builds, Japanese-inspired builds, medieval villages, and peaceful riversides.

The Weeping Willow is one of the world's most recognizable trees and would greatly improve biome variety, landscaping, and creative building without changing Minecraft's classic style.
