Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Chainmail armor reduce sword damage

Chainmail should reduce sword damage more than other types of damage because, in real life, knights used chainmail armor as a defense against swords.

This would give chainmail armor more use because, currently, it is relatively difficult to obtain compared to its benefits. Adding this functionality could make it a more worthwhile armor choice.

It could work similarly to the Blast Protection enchantment, but as a built-in feature of the armor itself.

That's also what i thought, it would make chainmail actually useful against player to player fights
