You find an end upgrade template- crafted with diamonds, an ender pearl, and enderite. You find the enderite in rare caves below outer end islands. Use a smithing template to upgrade the diamond armor to enderite. The enderite is worse then netherite by default prot, but depends on the armor piece.
Helmet-7 seconds of not taking damage from drowning and suffocation.
Chestplate-Auto res when durability is below half. It becomes better than netherite and is harder to break. Auto res when taking alot of damage at a time. This can help against spear, mace, or crystals, or cart.
Leggings-Can be VERY good for explosion prot, but breaks faster-almost as fast as diamond. Its a debate on if you should use it in crystal pvp because it protects better, but breaks faster.
Boots-Very good for falling- and can be enchanted with feather falling 5 (now a thing in this update) and automatically takes 33% less fall damage and is decent for durability. But cannot be enchanted with blast prot or other things will be added.
Also, all enderite armor can be enchanted with 2 prots, but only to level three. Boots can't have blast prot and feather falling 5 together and if it does have blast prot, feather falling can only be 4 and automatically only saves 20% of fall damage. Enderite prevents you from taking void damage and you can find a whole dimension down there, with chests for a new armor trim and a boss if you defeat gives an ender star that heals armor but needs to be healed with sunlight.
