We need a deeper subterranean update that overhauls the world floor and turns bedrock into a functional progression mechanic. This concept lowers the absolute world floor from Y=-64 down to Y=-124, creating room for an entirely new progression tier. In this system, the zone from Y=-30 up to Y=40 becomes the Surface Layer, which only spawns standard soil, gravel, granite, diorite, and surface ores like coal, iron, and emeralds. Directly below this zone, a solid layer of bedrock generates exactly at Y=-30, acting as a mid-game gate. This bedrock layer is no longer unbreakable; instead, it has the same mining hardness as Obsidian and requires a iron or harder pickaxe to mine. Mining it normally drops Cobbled Bedrock, while using a Silk Touch tool drops the standard Bedrock block. Breaking through this Y=-30 barrier reveals a massive, entirely new cave generation system underneath. Deep-slate variants and high-tier ores spawn exclusively in these lower cavern systems. Additionally, a brand-new, late-game material called Eclogite generates at the lowest depths between Y=-100 and Y=-124. Finally, the absolute bottom layer of the world at Y=-124 is lined with Reinforced Deeprock, a completely blast-proof, unminable block that replaces the old void barrier and marks the true end of the world map.
