Bedrock skins have a lot more freedom when it comes to, well, everything! and Java players are stuck with less features. Ive brought 4 things I want to see in Java.
1. Java players should get a skin menu like Bedrock. Instead of having to reload the launcher or use a Mod just to change their skin in-game, Java players should get some sort of skin changer system. This can make the next features better.
2. Higher resolution skins. A lot of bedrock skins can be 128 x 128 and such. Java players are stuck with 64 x 64. This can bring a lot more creativity to java skins and give players more freedom!
3. Animated skins. May not be the best option for custom skins, but I think Java players should get the option of making multiple skin files animate as one. It may not be a good idea. But it could be worth trying.
4. Character Creator. Bedrock has a system to make your own character from many parts. Java should get this freedom as well. Most players may not use it, but for people just starting and don't know how to make a custom skin from a website or editing a base png, it can be really useful.
Giving Java more freedom and bringing Bedrock and Java closer together can be a great idea if it is handled properly. Once Vulkan is put into Java it can be a good idea to put several Bedrock features into java, and vice versa.
As a Java player, these features would be really nice to have. Thank you if you read this far! :]
