I would like to suggest an expansion to Minecraft's world generation focused on two pillars that would bring new possibilities for exploration and building: the implementation of floating islands (inspired by Aether mod and The End prototype) and a more dynamic overhaul of beaches.
1. Floating Islands (Sky Archipelagos)
Introducing aerial biomes would bring a new vertical challenge to the game, Islands generated at high altitudes, featuring unique blocks, exclusive vegetation, and structures inhabited by new passive or hostile creatures. Also a new use for Happy Ghast
Challenge: Accessing these islands would require players to use new movement mechanics, potions, or strategic building, making mid-game progression more interesting.
Atmosphere: The sight of looking up and seeing islands floating among the clouds would give Minecraft a sense of discovery and grandeur that players love.
2. Dynamic and Immersive Beaches
Currently, the game's beaches are quite uniform. I suggest making them richer biomes:
Variety: Addition of different sand types, shallow sandbars, natural rock formations, and coastal vegetation (such as coconut palms or specific mangroves).
Life: Increasing coastal biodiversity with more species of crustaceans or seashells that serve as decoration and basic crafting materials, making the transition between land and sea feel much more organic.
pls, That would make the game feel more alive.
