The Problem:
Navigating deep ravines, massive caves, and steep mountains requires players to build floating block platforms. This ruins natural terrain and takes hours. Minecarts are rarely used because laying solid foundation blocks across gaps is too tedious.

The Solution:
Introduce Cable Rails, a rail variant suspended in mid-air to create ziplines, cable cars, and ski lifts.
Introduce Cable Rails, a rail variant suspended in mid-air to create ziplines, cable cars, and ski lifts.
- Crafting: 3 Iron Ingots + 3 String = 6 Cable Rails.
- Placement: Place an anchor rail on a solid block, then click across a gap (up to 32 blocks) to stretch the cable over open air. Minecarts lock onto the wire, letting players ride across drops cleanly.
Mechanics:
- Three-Speed Control: Like riding a pig, players in a normal minecart cycle through three speed settings (Slow, Normal, Fast) using movement keys. The exception is an incline, where gravity forces the cart to slow down.
- Hoppers: Hopper/Chest Minecarts work perfectly. Cable rails passing under standard hopper stations allow seamless, mid-air automated cargo logistics.
- Mobs: Mobs can safely ride minecarts along cables, making this an ideal way to transport villagers or animals across hazardous terrain.
Why it fits: It uses a proven vanilla control mechanic to make early-game exploration and automation fun without cluttering the landscape.
