I think Minecraft should add an option to choose between different combat styles. Some players prefer the fast combat from older versions, while others enjoy the current system with attack cooldowns and more strategy. Minecraft could add a combat style selection option in the Game Settings and World Settings. Players could either change the combat style later in the world settings or choose one when creating a new world and keep it locked for balance. This could also be available as a gamerule for map makers and server owners. Each combat style could have a short description explaining its features. Classic combat could focus on fast attacks and simplicity, modern combat could focus on timing, cooldowns, and strategy, and a third combat style could offer a new experience. The third combat style could have a shorter attack cooldown while keeping timing important. Weapons could have different types of attacks, with stronger differences between swords, axes, and other weapons. It could also add new movement options, combat tactics, improved blocking and dodging, and more interesting PvE battles against mobs. I think giving players more combat options would make Minecraft better for different playstyles and let everyone choose the way they enjoy fighting.
