Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Parachute: An early-game item for fall protection

Struggling with MLG water buckets and haven't managed to get your hands on an Elytra yet? I have an idea to bridge that gap: The Parachute.
Crafting Recipe:
 -5 Leather
 -2 String
Mechanics:
 -Equipment: The Parachute is worn in the chestplate slot, similar to Elytra.
 -Functionality: When equipped, jumping from high places triggers a slow-fall effect, granting total immunity to fall damage.
 -Durability: To keep it balanced as an early-game tool, it has a durability of 32. It loses 1 durability point for every 5 blocks fallen.
Why this adds value: This item serves as a vital utility for players during early-game exploration. It provides a safer alternative for traversing rugged terrain without rendering the mid-to-late game Elytra obsolete. It’s a simple, logical addition that rewards players who focus on crafting and preparation over high-risk mechanical skills.

    Nice idea with the Phantom Membrane, Xu Yifan666. I think it’s a bit too difficult to obtain in the early game, so leather still feels like the better choice for this concept. Thanks for the suggestion! OvOb
