Dear Mojang,
It is my first time posting an idea for Minecraft, so apologies if my idea is not okay. I think it is time for the Dragon Egg to finally have a purpose—specifically, hatching the egg so that players can have their very own Dragon which they can ride. I know that you already added Happy Ghasts as Minecraft's first ridable aerial mount, which I'm happily thankful for, but my only problem with Happy Ghasts is the speed. If you added Dragons as ridable mounts, they would have similarities to the Happy Ghasts with their aerial capabilities, but with much better speed for long-distance travel and it can lie down.
Hatching the egg: To hatch the egg, players will need End Stone at the bottom of the egg and lava to surround it in a 3x3 block gap to hatch over time. It will be similar to how players hydrate Dried Ghasts, except lava will be needed instead of water.
Dragon armor and saddle: For the armor, players can find variations of it from copper up to diamond in chests inside End Cities and End Ships. The diamond dragon armor can be upgraded to netherite like regular armor. For its saddle, it will be the standard one that horses, donkeys, and pigs use.
Feed: For food I think Chorus Fruit since it is of End origin
Unique action: Finally, for its unique action, it will have a projectile attack like the one that the Ender Dragon uses on us players when fighting it.
I hope this idea will become a reality for all Minecraft players and it will be fun for them.
