The Prarie Biome

  • Title: Biome Idea: The Grasslands (Prairie)
    The Grasslands is a flat prairie biome inspired by North American plains. It features vast expanses, golden vegetation, and unique ruins.
    Key Features:
    • Golden Tall Grass: A new 1.5-to-2-block plant with a unique wheat-gold hue, giving the biome a waving "sea of gold" look.
    • Terrain: Flatter and broader than standard Plains, making it the perfect canvas for mega-builds and horse racing tracks.
    • Flora & Fauna: Oak/Birch trees are rare, spawning as solitary structures. Horses and foxes spawn frequently. Cows feature a darker, shaggier texture variant to look like bison.
    • Atmospheric Details: Features unique wind sound effects blowing through the grass and rolling tumbleweeds during storms.
    New Structure: Abandoned Homestead
    A rare, weathered pioneer cabin that adds a sense of history to the empty plains.
    • Design: Built from oak or birch planks with a partially collapsed cobblestone roof, cobwebs, and a broken animal pen outside.
    • Loot: Contains a single chest with basic survival gear like seeds, iron tools, leather, clocks, or bread.
    Why add it?
    Minecraft lacks a true, open prairie. The Grasslands offers a beautiful, wide-open landscape to colonize while keeping the core vanilla style intact.
