Minecraft has many memorable and funny death messages. I would love to see a new death message that appears when a player attempts a last-second clutch with any clutch-capable item but still dies.
Examples:
"Steve died while clutching a water bucket."
"Alex died while clutching a boat."
"Steve died while clutching a hay bale."
"Alex died while clutching a bed."
"Steve died while clutching a slime block."
"Alex died while clutching a cobweb."
Mojang could also use different wording, such as:
"Steve attempted a clutch with a water bucket."
"Alex attempted a clutch with a bed."
"Steve attempted a clutch with a boat."
This message would only appear if the player actively tried to use or place a clutch-capable item just before dying from a fall. It should support any current or future clutch item instead of a fixed list.
This would add more variety to death messages, create memorable multiplayer moments, recognize skillful clutch attempts even when they fail, and make Hardcore deaths more memorable without changing gameplay. The wording is only an example—Mojang can choose whatever best fits Minecraft's style.
