Meerkats Small social mobs that stand upright to scout the sky and chirp when danger approaches. They hide in burrows when threatened. Meerkats can be tamed with fermented spider eyes and will follow you, automatically attacking insects.
Desert Falcons An aerial predator that circles high above the desert. Falcons occasionally swoop down to grab small mobs like meerkats or rabbits. Meerkats warn players when a falcon is nearby. Falcons perch on palm trees and drop feathers or a rare talon.
Palm Trees Tall trees that grow near water. Their wood has a light, smooth texture. Palm leaves drop dates, a simple low‑tier food.
Oasis Rare patches of water surrounded by palm trees, tall grass, and flowers. Meerkats spawn nearby. Oases make desert exploration more rewarding.
Quicksand A soft sand block that players and mobs sink into slowly unless they keep moving. Not deadly — just a natural hazard.
Sandstorms Occasional weather events that reduce visibility and slow movement slightly, making the desert feel more dynamic.
Updated Camels Camels now have natural coat variety: Sand, Dune, Clay, or Sienna, each with Spots, Stripes, Patches, or Faded patterns. A tiny chance of coloured markings adds rarity. Light camels wander in sun; darker ones prefer shade. Drops match base coat.
