What if flying felt amazing... until something reminded you gravity still exists?
New Overworld Biome – Levitation Biome with a "Nightweight" Mob Biome Concept: A rare Overworld biome where players get a constant Levitation effect while inside it, letting them float and glide around naturally. Floating debris, leaves, and small rocks drift slowly in the air, giving the biome a distinct, otherworldly look. Trees could grow with roots hanging upward or float slightly above the ground to reinforce the low-gravity feel. Mob: "Nightweight" To balance the freedom of levitation, this biome would spawn a special hostile mob only at night: When it hits the player (melee or ranged), it instantly removes the Levitation effect and applies Slowness/Heaviness for 10 seconds. During those 10 seconds, the player is grounded and moves slowly — unable to float, and vulnerable if they were high up when hit (fall damage risk). It only spawns at night, making the biome peaceful to explore during the day but genuinely risky after dark. Why this works: Creates a natural risk/reward loop: floating high up feels great, but getting hit at the wrong moment can be dangerous. The 10-second window is short enough to not feel punishing, but long enough to matter if other threats are nearby. Day/night spawning gives the biome two different moods — calm exploration vs. tense survival. Visual idea: A small, dark mob made of meteor-like shards that also floats slowly toward the player, with a black "gravity pulse" particle effect on hit.
