I would love to propose the addition of a new difficulty called "Expert" that could either be a standalone setting or a complete overhaul of the current "Hard" mode. This would also serve as the new default for hardcore, providing a more intense and rewarding survival experience.
To make the game more challenging and truly emphasize the "survival" aspect, I suggest the following gameplay adjustments for this mode:
-
Advanced AI & Detection: Increase mob detection range from the standard 16 blocks to 32 blocks.
-
Mob Behavior Tweaks: Hostile mobs can no longer be easily trapped in boats, forcing players to engage them directly rather than relying on simple exploits.
-
Enhanced Equipment: Mobs will spawn with armor more frequently and have a higher chance of wielding weapons (shovels, swords, axes). Furthermore, there is an increased chance for these items to be enchanted.
-
Zombie Leadership: Increase the spawn rate of "Zombie Leaders" to 25%, creating more challenging encounters.
-
Increased Threat: Base damage for all hostile mobs will be boosted to make combat significantly more dangerous.
-
Aggressive Regional Difficulty: Scale the regional difficulty more aggressively and increase the total mob cap. This ensures that as players progress, they face not only more numerous but also much better-equipped enemies.
This change would breathe new life into the late-game experience, providing the thrill that veteran Minecraft survivalists are constantly searching for. Thank you
