Minecraft has nice farming, but cooking has never reached its full potential. The Gourmet Update would expand food into a deep, rewarding system that makes kitchens and farms feel alive.
New Kitchen Blocks: Pots, pans, frying pans, Oven, stove, fridge, cutting board, Fermentation barrel for drinks
New Ingredients & Tools: Herbs, spices, oils, cheeses, doughs, meats, broths, and more. Tools like knives, ladles, rolling pins, and mixers let players craft advanced meals.
Potion Meals: Combine food with potion effects to create powerful dishes. Examples: Spicy Stew (Fire Resistance) ,Herbal Noodles (Regeneration), Frostberry Pie (Slow Falling)
Wine & Beer Making: Grow grapes, barley, hops, and ferment them into drinks with unique buffs or village trade value.
New Villager - The Gourmet: A master chef who trades rare ingredients, advanced recipes, and buys high‑quality meals. Their kitchen‑themed house adds flavor to villages.
This update would make farming, exploring, and building more meaningful while giving players a reason to create beautiful kitchens and experiment with food.
Something I always have wanted added into this game was in depth cooking, I feel like the game could def use a cooking update :)
Farmers Delight is a go to mod I typically install due to all it adds. Heck even somehow getting that mod to be built into the game with the standard version would be sweet.
