Vertical slabs DONT LOOK AWAY READ THIS

I know that one of the mojang representatives said that they love the idea of vertical slabs but they don’t know how to place one, meaning they don’t know when the player would want a vertical slab or a regular slab… I think that if you want a vertical slab you can SHIFT click the block you want to place it on, and if you want to place a normal slab just don’t shift click
