I would love to see a "Arctic Tundra" biome added to Minecraft. It would be a great way to expand the cold regions of the game with unique landscapes, new blocks, and iconic wildlife.
Here are some ideas for this biome:
-
Landscape: Vast, flat, icy plains with permafrost blocks, peat bogs, and occasional rocky hills.
-
Flora: Low-growing moss, lichens, and Siberian shrubs. (Lichens could be the favorite food of Reindeer!)
-
Fauna (New Mobs):
-
Reindeer: The star of the tundra. They can be tamed and ridden, navigating deep snow much faster than horses. Players can also attach chests to them.
-
Muskoxen: Large, fluffy, neutral mobs that drop thick wool and form defensive circles against wolves.
-
Lemmings: Tiny rodents that scurry around the ground.
-
-
Structure: Nomadic tents (like Yarts) or small wooden cabins.
Adding Reindeer and this beautiful, harsh environment would make exploring snowy worlds much more rewarding!
