Firefly Meadow Biome: Lush Wetland Biome Filled with Fireflies

Firefly bushes were added to Minecraft as a decorative block intended to enhance atmosphere and ambient detail. I believe they could be used as a core element for a new biome: the Firefly Meadow biome.

This rare, humid wetland biome would be inspired by real-life environments where fireflies appear in large numbers at night, creating a natural glowing visual experience.

It would feature tall grass, tall ferns, occasional tall flowers, and vine-covered trees with a similar density to a Sparse Jungle. Small water patches with lily pads would also generate throughout the biome. Firefly bushes would appear in high abundance, giving the biome a subtle natural glow.

At night, the biome becomes especially visually striking and encourages exploration rather than avoiding darkness, similar to the Pale Garden, but focused on a peaceful natural phenomenon instead of a hostile encounter.

To preserve survival gameplay, Firefly bushes would emit a slightly stronger ambient glow for visibility, without affecting hostile mob spawning mechanics, maintaining dark areas where mobs can still appear naturally.

The goal is to create a rare biome that makes nighttime exploration feel beautiful and atmospheric while keeping Minecraft’s core survival balance intact.
