The Problem:
There is a significant gap between the command systems of Java Edition and Bedrock Edition. Many powerful command functionalities, syntax arguments, and NBT handling capabilities available in Java Edition are completely missing in Bedrock. This severely limits map makers, server administrators, and command block creators who want to build high-quality content on the Bedrock platform.
The Solution:
I propose bringing "Command Parity" to Bedrock Edition. This involves:
Syntax Parity: Allowing the same argument structures (like extended target selector arguments, delta/rotation parameters) that are standard in Java Edition.
Advanced Functionality: Enabling more robust NBT data manipulation and access via commands, which is currently very restricted in Bedrock.
Uniformity: Reducing the friction between platforms so that technical creators don't feel forced to switch to Java just to execute complex logic.
Why this is important:
Bedrock Edition has a massive player base, yet the technical community is held back by these limitations. By bridging this gap, Mojang would empower Bedrock creators to produce more advanced custom maps, mini-games, and complex contraptions, ultimately enriching the Bedrock ecosystem.
Please prioritize parity for command functionality to ensure both editions offer the same level of creative potential.
