This is a continuation of my previous suggestion about adding an official public server browser to Minecraft. I suggest dividing servers into three types: Open, Private, and Closed. Open servers would allow anyone to join. Private servers would require players to send a join request. Players could fill out a short application or write information about themselves under the server description. The owner, administrator, or moderator could review the request and decide whether to accept or reject the player. Closed servers would be hidden and joinable only by IP, code, or invitation. They would be useful for friends and people they know. The browser could include filters for server name, language, region, Minecraft version, game mode, player count, age rating, ping, and tags. Servers could also have a short description and be grouped into categories such as Minigames, Survival, PvP, Creative, Anarchy, and Roleplay. Servers could display compatibility labels for Java Edition, Bedrock Edition, or both versions, so players immediately know which servers they can join. Optional age ratings and access settings could help players and parents choose suitable communities. Server owners, administrators, and moderators would still be responsible for managing their own servers. A report system and basic server requirements could help keep the browser safer. Featured Servers could remain unchanged, while the new browser would become a separate section for community servers.
