Powdered Mud

Mud Powder is a new mud‑based block for Mangrove swamps, acting as a swamp version of Powdered Snow. Instead of frost damage, players and mobs sink into it and receive Slowness based on depth. Surface sinking gives Slowness I, deeper sinking gives Slowness II–III and reduced jump height, creating a natural quicksand hazard that fits the biome.Like Powdered Snow, leather boots let players walk on top without sinking. However, because mud is slippery, leather boots cause slow sliding movement, similar to ice but heavier and harder to control. This gives leather boots a unique swamp‑specific use.Mud Powder can be collected with a Mud Bucket, allowing players to place mud traps, build swamp terrain, or create custom sinking zones. This expands mud beyond crafting and gives it real gameplay value.Mud Powder uses existing Minecraft mechanics (powdered snow sinking, soul sand slowness, ice sliding) while strengthening the Mangrove biome with a meaningful environmental hazard. It adds survival challenge, biome identity, and new movement interactions without breaking balance.
