Introduce Minecraft (Java and Bedrock) to the Steam Store

I would like to formally propose the integration of Minecraft (both Java and Bedrock editions) into the Steam platform.

Key Reasons:

  • Enhanced Security: Steam provides a highly secure infrastructure for purchasing, account management, and secondary verification methods, which would offer additional protection for players' credentials and transactions.

  • Centralized Ecosystem: Many players prefer to consolidate their digital video game libraries within a single, reliable platform. Having Minecraft on Steam would streamline accessibility, automatic updates, and community features like achievements and discussion hubs.

  • Broader Reach: Introducing the game to the world's largest PC gaming marketplace would welcome new players and allow veterans to integrate Minecraft seamlessly into their daily gaming routines.

Bringing Minecraft to Steam would significantly benefit the community by combining the world’s most popular sandbox game with the industry's most robust and trusted distribution platform.
