You should add platinum ore as the most durable overworld ore (it’s rarer than gem grade diamonds IRL). You can make armour and tools as you would with diamond or iron. First, Platinum Ore must be smelted to make Platinum Ingot. Also with Platinum, you can make an exclusive platinum shield (instead of an iron ingot it’s a platinum ingot), platinum dust (one platinum ingot can create 4 platinum dust) which acts as an instantaneous version of redstone with far more range, platinum block, platinum torch (far more light than a regular torch), platinum golem (a very slow moving mob that can be sat and attacks hostile mobs, 4x as much hp as an iron golem, same damage) crafted via 5 platinum blocks and a carved pumpkin head. Platinum is harder to find than diamonds like IRL, and is a beautiful light-blue chrome mix. It’s ore maintains that gorgeous look while glittering tiny particles. There is also a new structure deep underground known as “The Abandoned Platinum Vault.” Found deep underground, near bedrock and well into deep slate, it is a dark mine shaft like maze, featuring mobs and cob webs. Somewhere in the maze, an obsidian holding cell 2 blocks thick lays. Once you mine through, anywhere from 2-5 platinum blocks are there, and a chest with varying loot (usually enchanted gold tools similar to a ruined portal).
