1. What do I want?
A stable, official modding API for Bedrock, as powerful and documented as Java's. Enabling complex mods: new dimensions, custom items, advanced systems.
2. Why do I want this?
Modded Minecraft is half the fun, but Bedrock's current API is unstable, poorly documented, and lacks code access. Multiple mods crash or conflict. A proper API would let creators build better mods, players enjoy them safely, and the Bedrock community grow like Java's.
3. How should it be done?
- Dedicated Mojang team for API development (beyond current add-ons).
- Full documentation, debugging tools, access to core systems (render, physics, AI, items, blocks) with security and stability.
- Full compatibility across mobile, Windows, Xbox, PlayStation.
- Learn from Fabric/Forge but modernized for Bedrock.
Final Note:
I don't need to see a zombie with an iron spear riding a zombie horse (though that would be cool!). What I truly need is the ability to use my left hand to place blocks or torches and the ability to install large, complex mods without hassle. These two features would transform the game experience for millions of Bedrock players.
