Bundles are one of the most interesting inventory features added to Minecraft because they help solve an old problem: inventory management during exploration.
I really like the idea of carrying small groups of items without relying on chests or shulker boxes, but I feel like Bundles still have a lot of untapped potential.
My suggestion would be turning Bundles into a progression-based system, and seeing something like this in-game would be amazing.
Basic Bundle → 64 items
Reinforced Bundle → 128 items
Advanced Bundle → 192 items
These upgrades could be crafted using simple materials that fit naturally into Minecraft’s progression.
The idea would not be to replace chests or shulker boxes, but only to improve exploration and inventory organization. Chests and their variants are still better for large-scale storage, while Bundles would focus on organization during exploration.
Another improvement could be the interface.
Right now, accessing a specific item can feel a bit slow, since players often need to scroll through multiple items until they find the one they want. Instead, Bundles could have a simple inventory view that allows players to directly select stored items.
This would not turn Bundles into portable chests, but simply make them more practical and intuitive to use.
