Dappled Forests should generate near cold biomes (Taigas and Old Taigas)

    I very much agree, I actually logged on to post basically the same feedback. In my opinion the dappled forest would be great as a transition between regular forests and taigas. I also think that having trees and leaf litter etc. to break up the transition between biomes would help make the grass color transition much less jarring.

    Yes, also came on to suggest this! I saw someone suggest we need a 4th biome "type" of autumn theme, and I very much agree. It needs to blend inbetween the snowy and the summer biomes.

    Agree. The new Dappled Forest spawns at Temperature=1, Humidity=0, Weirdness>0, one slot colder than where Sunflower Plains generates (For those that don’t know, Minecraft uses a multi noise algorithm to determine biome placement). Makes for abrupt transitions with Plains, Ice Spikes, and spring-inspired Cherry Groves. Dappled forest would have need a higher humidity slot (ie. T=1, H=2, W>0) for it to border Taigas, Snowy Taigas, and regular Forests. I do think it would fit well with the other colder, woodland type biomes.
