Bring Back Off-Hand Torches and Add Dynamic Lighting

Hello Minecraft Team, Could you please bring back the ability to hold torches in the off-hand? Also, could you add dynamic lighting so that torches light up the area while we are holding them, even without placing them? This would make exploring caves and dark areas much more enjoyable.
