Updated Touch Controls Feedback [Bedrock Beta]

Hello everyone!   
 
We heard your long-awaited desire for the controls to be updated and now, we are pleased to introduce to you two new WIP controller Interaction Models: 
 
Touch - Like the existing, 'Classic' control scheme on mobile, but with a new touch joystick and updated buttons for jumping, crouching, and sprinting. 

Crosshair - Like Touch, except it feels more like a console experience, allowing players to interact with the world at the point of the crosshair in the middle using action buttons for placement and interaction. 

Please play around with the new Touch and Crosshair controls, including the added settings:  
 
 - Static Joystick - Keeps the Joystick in the same place rather than appearing where your left-thumb touches. 

- Show Action Buttons (Crosshair only) - When off, the (left click / right click) action buttons are removed.  Screen taps function like Touch, except at the point of the crosshair. 

- Sprint on Movement - The sprint button is removed.  Maximum movement on the left thumbstick triggers sprint. 

The team prepared a few short questions and we would love your feedback to help us improve the controls: 

  • What do you like and not like about the new 'Crosshair' control Interaction Model in Creative, Survival, and Server play? 
  • What do you like and not like about the new 'Touch' control Interaction Model in Creative, Survival, and Server play? 
  • How did the controls feel on Touch?  On Crosshair?

    You must be able to move your face freely while placing or breaking blocks. I suggest making the buttons more dynamic. What I mean is make each button be the origin point for that action. So as soon as your finger contacts a button, it begins that action while also allowing you to drag away from the button to move your face. That way you can run, look, and place or break blocks simultaneously. It it also important that the buttons are customizable as possible. Different devices have different screen sizes, so you should be able to move the buttons to the desired position and size.

    Please add a Swap Jump and Sneak option for the new touch controls. 

    I mean that when you hover your finger from walking forwards to the jump button that you can jump and walk at the same time. In other words just a jump button when you go over the middle with the joystick or when you tap the joystick once. Personally I really don't like playing with a 'separate' jump button on the right side of my screen. I only want a sneak button on the right side of the screen just like when Swap Jump and Sneak is enabled

    It's Really Great Now I Can Jump Bridge But If We Could Customize And Put It Where Ever We Want Like Pubg Or Other FPS Game It Would Be Alot More Better Because It's So Hard To Understand Where To Place Our Fingers As I Am 4 Fingers Player In PUBG So I Will Put Them As I Like. Also If Changing Size Of The Buttons Could Be Added It Will Be Really Really Good. Other Than That Your Hard Work Is Appreciated ☺️♥️

    For me Its Good But Can You add A Toggle Sprint In The Classic Touch Controls Bcz It Would Be Easier To PVP Bcz U Don't Have To Press The Up Button On the DPAD Two Times And Please Make us Mobile players Customize The new controls Like if i want the attack button to be on the top left I can do that.

    Why this new controls are only available in beta versions?

    Just please add more customization, like the feature to move the controls across the screen and also adjust their size and transparency. Rest all is amazing.

    Please add a feature to customize the placement of the buttons this will be a lot better than fixed controls buttons and you can also add some more to drop items 

    This will make the controling much easier and yes thank you

    I think the option of creating your own "layout" of buttons would be great. I would really like my jump, crouch and sprint buttons on the top left of my screen while attack and place blocks on top right. I also suggest to let the option of keeping the WASD movement while having the new touch controls.

    I really do rather for the new "Joystick" Control to be circled type not the squared type tho. It just feels weird... And i kinda wanna know some kind of an "Icon" like a Walking Icon png but a pixelated version for the "JOYSTICK" that look like Steve legs. i can hardly to imagine that what it would look like. it's pretty Neat! If u ask me

    And... We still needing that "Customization Touch Controls or " Edit Touch Layout Controls" Whatever u're going to call it. Including "Sprinting while in Mid air" It would help for the Parkour stuff's etc

    I'm hoping for anyone would agreed on this, for the new "Touch Controls"

    Maybe add an option to switch it back to the current controls because these ones are a lot harder to use in my opinion since there are more buttons.

    I always concerned about the attack button it's hard for me to use even in combat. Well i mean there's a new few buttons from the right side of the screen. I think it's better for the attack button to be a secondary joystick so it will help or do more support for players to attack some players, and some entities to kill than swiping from left to right. The secondary joystick will only appear when u switch to an item that is Usueable to Attack, to Aim and to Mine. Like "Swords,Pickaxe,Bow,Crossbow", etc etc. it would be better that option would be optional in settings. Everyone have their own Preference after all.

    I hope anyone would agreed on this one. I'm more a PvP player myself. I'm having a hard time using this Old Touch Controls and the New one

    Edited: forgot to mention. If the secondary joystick was added either for combat or for the attack button or whatever u're going to call it. The sensitivity option for the secondary joystick which is for combat support should be added in the option/settings menu.

    Could you please add the options to add a few extra buttons?, like one to change the camera mode, hide UI etc. Those extra buttons can be turned on and off  the in menu so people can choose to have them

    Add an option where you can show action buttons, but still able to touch to attack, interact, place blocks etc. This combines the best of both options!

    For static joystick and the old D-pad, please make sure that the area around the joystick/dpad cannot be used to interact, place blocks etc. I often find myself trying to move but ended up placing blocks and hitting something. Our fingers don't need to be exactly on the joystick/dpad to move; for smaller screens it's important that the joystick/dpad area is larger.

    And please add customizable buttons (size, position, opacity of EACH button). I want to place buttons on the upper corners of my screen. Adding additional buttons like quick hotbar switching and a "safe mode" toggle that prevents me from interacting with the world is also welcome, as accidental inputs happen often.
