Updated Touch Controls Feedback [Bedrock Beta]

Hello everyone!   
 
We heard your long-awaited desire for the controls to be updated and now, we are pleased to introduce to you two new WIP controller Interaction Models: 
 
Touch - Like the existing, 'Classic' control scheme on mobile, but with a new touch joystick and updated buttons for jumping, crouching, and sprinting. 

Crosshair - Like Touch, except it feels more like a console experience, allowing players to interact with the world at the point of the crosshair in the middle using action buttons for placement and interaction. 

Please play around with the new Touch and Crosshair controls, including the added settings:  
 
 - Static Joystick - Keeps the Joystick in the same place rather than appearing where your left-thumb touches. 

- Show Action Buttons (Crosshair only) - When off, the (left click / right click) action buttons are removed.  Screen taps function like Touch, except at the point of the crosshair. 

- Sprint on Movement - The sprint button is removed.  Maximum movement on the left thumbstick triggers sprint. 

The team prepared a few short questions and we would love your feedback to help us improve the controls: 

  • What do you like and not like about the new 'Crosshair' control Interaction Model in Creative, Survival, and Server play? 
  • What do you like and not like about the new 'Touch' control Interaction Model in Creative, Survival, and Server play? 
  • How did the controls feel on Touch?  On Crosshair?

    i would like if the pause button/chat/emote button where customizable like the rest, i would really like to change its transparency, maybe this should be separated from the rest of the changes.

    I recommend adding a custom ui setting that allows you to freely adjust the ui size and transparency

    It would be cool if it were possible to change the effect bar, placing it horizontally or vertically, and whichever side you want.
    It would also be interesting if a button switched between interacting with blocks and attacking, so we could easily feed bees and not hit piglins.

    I use the touch buttons on my android and the new ones are really really bad.. they react bad and i stop in the middle of runnig.. Also the behavior in the water is really bad swimming is better but when i didnt want to swim i have to jump every time to not go under..

    I personally don't like the new touch controls. I would like an option to use the old touch controls without the new buttons. I've always liked pocket edition for its simplicity and adding the new buttons feels like it's ruining that.

    And if you adjust the size of the jump button it resets to default if you use scaffolding.

    Please bring back the old joystick, as an IPad player this takes up too much space. My thumb has to stretch just to the reach the joystick and it’s way too high, every time I try to walk I press the shift button instead. At least, add the old joystick as an option.

    I don’t like the new control update I can’t change the size on the custom controls and the buttons are farther from the corner. I think they should change it back

    Could we please have an option for the classic d-pad as well? i find the game harder to play as the controls are smaller and slightly up and it really shocked me.

    As a player who played Minecraft for a very long time on mobile and iPad the touch control mode D-Pad and tap to interact has been amazing and easy to manipulate the game properly. Since updated it has only been more complicated to move around all while trying to manipulate the touch control. It did not need fixing or updating. Please add a way to turn back to “classic” for us old users who have been playing the game forever and new changes to game control is harder to adapt. Please please please, I cannot enjoy my gameplay anymore.

    I preferred the old ones- please add an option to make them what they were originally. The new joystick isn't bad but the new D-pad is terrible compared to the old one.

    I am a returning player and was shocked for there to be new touch controls last I was playing touch on mobile it was the good ol' d-pad style movement and a couple other buttons and that was it plus I find that the new layout is way too big at it's natural size and definitely can be distracting especially when playing without much light around you or on screen to see anything other than your thumbs and the buttons as such I would as for these few simple issues to be changed like allowing us to change the intensity/colour of the controls and their size to a more personalised size so that there is a specific size and sensitivity setting for each so that everyone can have an extremely comfortable experience playing your game not just on a phone but on a tablet or a touch screen computer/laptop.

    Please allow us to place buttons wherever and also the UI elements anywhere on the screen like in call of duty mobile. Mobile screens are not way to play on and Amy customisation can go a long way.

    I don't know if it's just me or if others are experiencing this too, but when I want to build the touch screen sometimes it can't be pressed and sometimes it even presses itself, not only when building when I... Survival is also like that, so it's like Ghost Touch even though my smartphone is good and safe, I suspected that ghost touch only happened in the Minecraft game, it turned out to be true when I...Playing other games is not like that, so please fix the ghost touch bug in the game because it is very annoying
