What do you think about adding the ability to apply glowing ink sacs to sulfur cubes to make them emit light? Players, as you may know, have already found a great use for sulfur cubes as screen pixels, and we could do even more with them. Since the Chaos Cubed update has only just entered the game, expanding this mechanic would be absolutely fantastic. There are plenty of possibilities already, but this feature would truly be the icing on the cake!
Here are some ideas on what the implementation will be like:
- Variability of luminescence levels. You can make it so that the number of glowing ink sacs you add will affect how brightly they glow. For example, the maximum lighting value in the game is 15, you can choose to either change the lighting from 1 to 15, or between certain values up to 15 (for example, from 4 to 12). It's worth considering how much one bag will add to the lighting.
- The ability to reduce or completely remove the glow. This can be done simply with scissors or some other method. It's also possible to add the ability to lock a certain glow level. Regarding this, it is still just an idea, without a proper implementation plan.
- Alternative: a new type of absorbable block. Glowing blocks. If we add the ability for sulfur cubes to absorb glowing blocks, like glowstone, froglight, and so on, with different lighting effects, this will be a great help and an additional opportunity to use sulfur cubes with different external blocks inside!
