This suggestion introduces a new variation for all forest-type biomes: Dense Forests.
In this variation, trees would generate significantly closer to each other, creating a more enclosed and compact environment. Trees would also grow taller, occasionally generating in larger forms, reinforcing the feeling of a denser canopy.
The goal of this variation is to make forests feel more natural, wild, and challenging to explore, with reduced visibility and tighter paths.
Dense Forests would also feature richer and more abundant vegetation through a more intense generation of existing elements, while maintaining the game’s identity.
Natural elements such as stones and moss-covered trees would appear more frequently, reinforcing the feeling of an ancient and less explored environment.
These biomes could also contain small streams and lakes generated randomly, helping shape the terrain and creating natural paths.
To balance gameplay, there would be increased availability of resources such as wood, apples, and seeds, as well as a higher presence of existing animals.
In addition, existing structures could appear more frequently, such as abandoned cabins and ruined portals, further encouraging exploration.
These biomes should also generate with a larger minimum size to preserve their identity and avoid fragmented areas.
Overall, Dense Forests would add more depth, realism, and variety to world generation, improving exploration and the survival experience.
