My idea is to make it possible to record music discs directly inside the game using the Note Blocks. The player would build a redstone system with the blocks to play a song, put a disc to record, and the disc would save that sound. This allows us to create custom music discs with the exact tunes that we want.
What I suggest:
▪︎ Build a redstone system with Note Blocks to play your original music.
▪︎ Put a disc to record and the mechanism will exclusively save the sound of the blocks.
▪︎ Use an Anvil to give your recorded disc a fully customized title.
▪︎ Share your original music discs with other players in your world.
As a possibility, this opens the way for us to have a new recorder block, use of magical enchantments on the discs, crafting using echo shards, or using the grindstone and cauldron as specific items for removing the music and cleansing the disc.
The exact way this recording process works inside the game needs to be well-thought-out by the developers to avoid lag on the world map. The important thing is to have a filter that completely ignores sounds of mobs, footsteps, or explosions nearby, recording uniquely the music blocks. It would be amazing to carry our redstone music in the inventory to play in any Jukebox.
