After I saw the disappointment of a lot of people while Minecraft Live I thought to myself what would make this update better. He is a couple of good ideas to make the update better and cozy:
1. New mob - the bear. We have white bears in snow biomes, so we should have brown bears in this forest. Black bears could also spawn in taigas. The taiga ones can eat red berries, but the brown bears blue berries. Together with the teddy bear which could be crafted from it's skin. If killed it drops bear meat.
2. Hedgehogs are perfect for the autumn biome. I think they fit perfectly. They could hide under trees or on trees. Idk what they would eat though.
3. The acorns could grow on trees like the cocoa beans.
4. The bird - different variants (like cats!). They can sit on leaves and on the ground. They can drop bird feathers which can make your bed more comfortable (maybe you can sleep faster), not sure about this.
5. Small, Medium and large bushes - they can be in different colours like leaves! also hedgehogs could hide there.
6. A new hardcore cape by surviving 1000 days.
7. There could be a variant of the Dappled Forest with mountains (the first layer is normal y 63 - 110 y, second layer is between grass and stone with trees y 111 - y 160, third layer is mostly stone but also little grass with lower trees y 161 - y 215, fourth layer is only stone and snow, and very little trees y 215+.
8. Lakes and rivers would be cool!
9. Mooblooms could spawn there dropping dandalions when killed.
