The classic Minecraft spider model is quite nostalgic for me and for many players. But now, looking at the standard spider model, as well as the cave spider model, it's noticeable that it's a bit dated and the anatomy isn't quite accurate. I know there's the issue of mob size limiting the texture, but I think a remodel would be positive. The spider's anatomy is divided into abdomen and cephalothorax, where the head, eyes, and legs are located. Few spiders have a thorax in the center, like an ant or a 6-legged insect. So that would be something to review. The spider's chelicerae in the game, the teeth, are very small; you can barely notice them, which would be a reason for a remodel. It would be really cool to have 3D chelicerae moving like spiders do when they're standing still. As for the model as a whole, it could be more inspired by the wolf spider, with brown details and black eyes that might turn red when attacking the player, like the wolf spider itself in the game. I know it's asking too much for an update that implements new spider variants, like a larger spider resembling a tarantula or a wandering spider, or a type of spider that stays on the ceiling and waits for the player to pass by to jump on their head... an update focused on this would be very interesting, since creatures like skeletons and zombies have had their variants added recently, why not the spider? And I'm not forgetting the cave spider, it could also be included in this.
