What I want to add:
Add a crafting recipe for Tuff in the 2×2 crafting grid of player inventory or crafting table.
We need 2 Basalt and 2 Gravel in total. The materials must be placed diagonally: two identical items occupy a pair of diagonal slots respectively.
Two valid layouts are supported:
ABBA layout:[Basalt, Gravel, Gravel, Basalt] or [Gravel, Basalt, Basalt, Gravel]
Either diagonal arrangement works, and consuming 2 Basalt + 2 Gravel will produce 2 Tuff at once.
Why this feature matters for Minecraft:
1. Tuff is non-renewable in vanilla Minecraft. Players waste massive amounts of time mining deep underground below Y=0 or exploring Trial Chambers repeatedly to gather this block, which brings tedious repetitive work to both survival players and builders.
2. This recipe forms a complete renewable resource system: Basalt can be infinitely generated by basalt generators built by lava and blue ice, while Gravel can also be farmed with gravity block-based dropper farms. Players can produce both materials, then craft Tuff manually, completely solving its non-renewable flaw.
3. Builders can freely use Tuff for large-scale architectural projects without worrying about resource exhaustion, which greatly optimizes the gaming experience of both survival mode and construction gameplay. Besides, this crafting rule is completely consistent with vanilla Diorite’s recipe standard, requiring no new game mechanics and minimizing the development workload for Mojang.
