Different way of getting Dried Ghasts instead of crafting them

It makes no sense that we can craft them.

I think we should be able to bring them to life instead, using eight Ghast tears on soul sand by right clicking would turn the soul sand block into Dried Ghast, we don't create them, we just use the energy of Ghast tears and souls from soul sand to give them a new form.

If they have to be renewable then it should be done this way.
