The void glider is creature with four legs, four wings with a diamond shape, and a serpentine neck and tail each with a length of roughly 1.3 blocks. It is found flying or walking in the chorus and echo forest biomes. Void gliders are fairly rare, with low spawn rates. On average, 1 void glider will spawn for every 40 endermen in the chorus and echo forests.
Void gliders start out as neutral mobs. However, they can be tamed with 10-15 echo fruit slices, and then ridden. An untamed void glider has 20 health, and a tamed one has 25. The void glider flies at a rate of 5-8 blocks per second.
Its mount ability takes 3 seconds to charge, after which it automatically fires a projectile that deals 3 damage, ignoring all effects that would reduce the damage taken. It cancels and resets if the button is let go before the ability fully charges. When it is untamed, it fires this attack on its own when provoked.
When tamed, the void glider follows the player that tamed it, granting them 2 absorption hearts as long as they are within 10 blocks, with a cooldown period of 30 seconds. This ability does not stack by having multiple tame void gliders following the player, and can’t trigger on any single player multiple times between the cooldown period. You can’t get 4 absorption hearts by having 2 tamed void gliders following you, for example.
