Auto smelting pickaxe

The most annoying/boring part about mining in Minecraft for me is having to smelt all the ores in furnaces, and because of that I often don't take too much iron/gold/copper with me.
But I think I have the perfect solution. The auto smelter pickaxe.
With 3 raw iron, 2 sticks, and 2 coal, you would be able to craft the smelter pickaxe, which would remove the pain of having to smelt stacks of raw ores manually, by making the ores automatically drop as the smelted item.Having the same mining speed as a stone pickaxe, and the same durability as a iron pickaxe.
This would be a really great item to make the early game mining way more enjoyable.
