The concept isn't mine; it's from the internet.
It's simple: on Steam, Minecraft Java and Bedrock would be available for purchase, not an exclusive version like Legacy.
The idea is that the following would be available for purchase on the Steam page:
- Minecraft Java
- Minecraft Bedrock as DLC (Just an idea)
- Minecraft Java & Bedrock (A Steam bundle)
- Minecraft Java, Bedrock, Dungeons, and Legends (Bundle)
- Each game soundtrack album separately
- Complete Minecraft Soundtrack (Bundle of all the music)
- Minecraft Java, Bedrock, and the Complete Soundtrack (Bundle)
Once inside the game, a launcher would appear (Steam-exclusive, in my opinion). This launcher would offer several options, such as:
- Connect your Minecraft account to the launcher, or have your Steam account connect to your Minecraft account
- Sections for:
- Choosing skins and capes
- For Java
- For Bedrock
- Minecraft news, such as events, products, snapshots, etc.
- In the Java section, you could choose which version to play and download it, even if the files were provided separately
- In the Bedrock section, a window to view what’s new and trending on the Marketplace, or in-game events
Whether in the Java or Bedrock section, there would be a “Play” option.
However, it wouldn’t include features from the original Launcher, such as menu animations, the option to play other Minecraft games, Realms, and so on—the style would be simpler to resemble Steam.
That’s the proposal.
With nothing more to say, I’ll sign off now.
