The Problem:
Cleared grass blocks remain permanently barren, making the world feel static. Meanwhile, builders lack an aesthetic way to prevent grass from growing back via Bone Meal or Random Ticks without replacing the grass blocks entirely.
The Solution:
1. Wild Growth Mechanic: Use the existing Random Tick system. Grass blocks have a small chance (0.05%) to spawn short grass if there is air and light. To prevent overgrown lawns, it won't spawn if there are already 4+ grass stalks in a 3x3 radius. This allows Skyblock players to get seeds naturally.
2. Coal Dust (New Item): Craft 1 Coal/Charcoal into 4 Coal Dust.
3. Growth Prevention: Right-clicking a grass or dirt block with Coal Dust treats the soil.
* Visuals: No texture changes, keeping lawns clean. It just triggers dark smoke particle effects upon application.
* Properties: Blocks natural "Wild Growth" and cancels Bone Meal. Using Bone Meal on it wastes the meal and emits dark particles.
* Removal: Right-clicking with a Hoe or Shovel clears the status.
4. Scorched Coarse Dirt (New Block): Right-clicking Coarse Dirt with Coal Dust creates a darker, ash-colored variant. No plants can grow on it. Perfect for path building.
Why Mojang Should Consider This:
* Uses existing Random Ticks (zero performance impact).
* No texture clutter on green lawns.
* Brand-new utility for Coal!
