Description:
I propose a new feature for more immersive and sustainable gameplay: Tree stumps can regrow into saplings.
How it works: If a player cuts down a tree but leaves the bottom log (stump) connected to dirt/grass blocks, after some time, it will naturally sprout a sapling on top of the stump.
Normal Trees (1x1): Will sprout 1 regular sapling. Players can let it grow back or break it to get 1 sapling item.
Large Trees (2x2 like Dark Oak/Jungle): If all 4 stump logs are left, they will sprout a "Big Sapling" visual. Breaking this Big Sapling guarantees 4 regular sapling drops.
Why this is good for Minecraft:
It prevents accidental deforestation without causing tree-bloating lag, as it only regrows where trees used to be.
It gives players a choice: clear the stump to build, or leave it to let nature reclaim it.
It reduces the grind of waiting for leaves to decay just to get saplings back (especially for Dark Oak).
