A good new Minecraft mob would be the beaver, which spawns in rivers, lakes, and swamps. It builds small wooden dams that slightly change water flow and increase fish spawns, making water biomes more useful and alive.
If you give a beaver logs, it slowly turns them into planks, giving a small natural wood-processing mechanic.
It drops beaver fur and rarely a beaver tooth. The beaver fur could be crafted into a tool repair mat. When kept in your inventory with some wood, your wooden tools slowly repair over time. This makes early-game survival easier without being overpowered.
The beaver tooth could be used for a simple wood chisel, allowing faster wood carving or decorative wood blocks.
Overall, the beaver would improve rivers, add small automation, and give useful but balanced survival rewards
