With the upcoming dappled forest biome, the trees make for beautiful scenery. With yellow, orange, and dark magenta red filling the leaves. However the only grown coverage is grass, and red bushes. I think it would be a nice touch to add some Marigold variants!
Like the tulip, it could have a red, yellow, and orange variants, similar to the trees leaves. It would also give the forest a unique flower that could help bees that might spawn apart of the trees.
Marigolds also seasonally grow late summer to fall, making it a perfect candidate for the autumn feeling environment.
Additionally, culturally the Marigolds would fit as a great decoration along with the leaves for the Day of the Dead celebrations.
Overall I think Marigolds would fit into Minecraft and the Dappled forest perfectly. Giving the floor of the new forest colorful life aside from dead leaves and red bushes.
