I have a new idea for how to improve Minecraft combat. It works somewhat similarly to Minecraft Dungeons combat, but with one difference: while attacking, instead of freezing the player's position, the player should be able to move around, but the faster the player moves, the slower the player attacks. The simple system of Minecraft Dungeons melee combat with combo attacks and holding down to keep would be very good for original Minecraft. Also, to avoid accidentally attacking mobs, attacking while falling down (like a critical hit) would only attack the entity in front of the crosshair. This system is balanced because it makes spam-clicking have the same effect as attacking normally, so it doesn't punish spam-clicking like the modern system does but it doesn't reward spam-clicking like the old system does.
