The Fletching Table could give players a unique way to customize the appearance of their arrows instead of adding new arrow types or combat upgrades.
Players can customize three parts of an arrow:
* Tip
* Shaft
* Fletching
Dyes or other materials (similar to armor trims) can be placed into dedicated slots. A preview window shows the result before saving.
When the player presses Save Design, all materials are consumed and the chosen design becomes that player's active arrow appearance. The design remains saved until changed again at a Fletching Table, similar to selecting a cosmetic skin.
The customization is linked to the player, not the arrow item. Arrows in inventories, chests, and item drops remain unchanged. The selected design only appears when an arrow entity is fired from a bow or crossbow.
Example:
* Player A uses Red–Red–Blue.
* Player B uses Red–Red–Yellow.
Even when using arrows from the same stack, their fired arrows will appear differently.
Arrow designs also determine ownership. Players can only pick up arrow entities that match their currently selected design.
For example, a player using Red–Red–Blue cannot pick up a Red–Red–Yellow arrow stuck in the ground. If they later change their design to Red–Red–Yellow at a Fletching Table, they can then collect those arrows.
This would give the Fletching Table a unique purpose focused on arrow identity and personalization without creating new arrow items.
